Potato Masaru Gojju

Aloo Aloo Mosaru Gojju or Aloo raitha is the first ever dish that tried cooking as a bachelor. It is from this dish where my journey in kitchen started.
It is simple to make and compliments rice well. When watered down it can serve as side to Pulav.

  • Curd 1 cup
  • Potato 2 medium
  • Onion 1 small
  • Green chilli 2 medium
  • Coriander leaves handful
  • Asafoetida
  • Salt

For Tempering

  • Ghee
  • Mustard
  • Urad dal
  • Red chilli
  • Curry leaves



  • Clean potatoes and pressure cook them with salt for 2 whistles.
  • Once the potatoes cool down, peal them and mash them roughly.
  • Transfer it to a bowl, add chopped onions, green chilli and curd.
  • Add pinch of Asafoetida and Mix well, adjust salt. Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Finish with tempering.
